Raspberry Leaf, Mint & Oat Straw Tea Recipe

Welcome to the Tea Nook. A small monthly pause for steeping, breathing, and tending ourselves.

What this Tea Supports

This is a blend I love for uterine or menstrual support. When I work in the birthing world, with pregnant mamas, I always suggest a Raspberry Tea for toning the uterus, in preparation for birthing. But, that isn’t all that Raspberry Leaf is good for. It has Vitamins A, C and E and calcium and potassium. For a girl who hates bananas drinking a lot of Raspberry Leaf tea is beneficial. This is a great herb to use for women’s health. For a bit more on Raspberry Leaf visit our Plant Profile.

Other benefits include nervine support, calming effects, and anxiety relief.

The mint addition is a lovely digestive support and can also be beneficial if you’re having any respiratory discomfort.

Plus, tea is good for hydration and grounding. A warm cup of tea = delight.

Ingredients:

  • Oat Straw
  • Peppermint
  • Raspberry Leaf

How I make it

I steep dried raspberry leaf and oat straw with mint in hot water for about 8 minutes. Sometimes I let it go longer if I want a deeper mineral infusion.

Strain and sip slowly. No measuring required – I just try to use approximately equal parts of each herb. Add a loose scoop of each herb into a tea ball or infuser.

Drink this tea anytime of the day. It’s a dose of caffeine free mineral rich hydration.
