The Bold Look of Kohler

What do you do while your kids are away?

Probably something a lot less fun than this!

We’re hosting a live stream public web event, and swapping out a broken toilet. I’d like to mention that ‘said toilet’ has been broken for at least 5 years. The straw that broke the camel’s back, was the seat finally got pee-corroded enough, that it just snapped right off. Instead of taking the easy way out, and getting a new toilet seat, we are biting the bullet and replacing the whole shebang. I should also mention that when you flush this toilet, you have about a 10% chance that the flush will take, and you’re using a good 20 gallons of water (give or take). We know it is finally time for The Bold Look of Kohler.

No tickets necessary, but we’ll be accepting donations for World Toilet throughout the evening. In spite of the playfulness of our event this organization is doing very important work, World Toilet Organization (WTO) is a global non-profit committed to improving toilet and sanitation conditions worldwide. WTO empowers individuals through education, training and building local marketplace opportunities to advocate for clean and safe sanitation facilities in their communities.

100% of donations during our live stream will go to WTO.

How do you donate? You visit this link. We’ll be checking the live stream, when we aren’t elbow deep, for the following donation opportunities:

$5 – Truth – Ask one question to either of us for an honest answer
$10 – Dare – Dare one of us to do something (hopefully not too terrible)
$15 – Song – Ask us to sing/play a song during the live stream
$20 – Shot – Buy one of us do a shot
$30 – Shots – Buy both of us a round of shots

We are trying to walk the line between completely embarrassing ourselves and actually raising any money.

If you have some hot plans on Friday evening and can’t meet us at 7:00 pm (mountain time) we’ll share that live stream later, and we’ll widdle it down into an actual “how to” video, unless of course this toilet project goes terribly south.

I’ll leave you with this tiny teaser, just to tide you over. It is our Q&A video from last night.

I have about 36 hours to learn how to replace a toilet, better get busy.

UPDATE: Here is the live stream of the toilet replacement, if you have 2 hours of your life to give up.
